Our Story

We believe that the products you purchase should be the perfect blend of design, quality, and practicality.  We value products that are made both sustainably and ethically by experts of their craft. We support businesses that are mindful in how they support their employees, their communities and the world around them, and we try to do the same.

As a woman-owned and led company, W/Compliments was founded as a response to a need for elevated corporate goods for brands and businesses (re: products they will actually use). Our clients have looked to our company’s leadership over the last 17 years to thoughtfully source high quality gifts that are aligned with their overall aesthetic, corporate mission and values.  

We are based in Raleigh, NC and work closely with businesses and brands world-wide.

The Shop

We have never understood the perception of “corporate” and “retail” needing to be exclusive of one another. Simply put, our clients have great taste, and we are fortunate enough to work with them to provide unique and thoughtfully sourced products. Over the years it has become common for others to request many of these items on an individual basis, thus inspiring a new retail side of our business dedicated to a few of our favorite things.

Meet the Founder

Shelley Kimball-Dodge is a creative soul with a love of design, craftsmanship, and turning the everyday into the extraordinary. With a background in retail and over 17 years of experience in corporate gifting, she founded W/Compliments to better meet the needs of businesses and brands globally. Shelley has used this platform to help connect local and global makers, support great causes, and give back to her community.
